Hedonskate Silesia Tour Report - Part 1

The summer was super busy for Hedonskate Team – we had two big tours, the one around Sweden and the second one through Romania. Since whole Hedonskate Team consists about 15 people, riders were divided through the trips. Yet we felt it was way to long that we hadn't had a gathering of a complete Team in one place so we started thinking about another venture – this time, more relaxed one, with no hurry and deadlines, oriented more in getting photos for the upcoming 2011 Hedonskate calendar and getting the crew more tight together.

We invited all our riders to home town of Hedonskate – Katowice. The Silesia area has lots of different parks, so we planned to visit them one by one, each day. The actual tour started on Saturday 25th, with the first official stop at Bytom Skateplaza and the open contest. Since the event was scheduled for the evening we spent the day at local chill spot – PTG ledges, where the crew warmed up – the edit below will show you what went down!

The evening contest itself was a really positive thing for the local scene. Surprisingly, huge crowd of spectators showed up, which as we all know isn't the common thing for the rollerblading-only events nowadays. From the small talks with random people around the park, it seemed that they were really happy to see so much international riders in their not so big city. Furthermore we were all content to see quite large number of juiced youngsters competing with full commitment. During that night they had a chance to meet and skate with the professionals for the first time and I'm sure it made some impact on them.

Check the edit of Martins Jansons, who as usual captured all the best moment with his lens, enjoy!
